Thursday, August 29, was a great day for running on the Pincushion Trails. The temperatures were cool, the sky was overcast, and there was a nice breeze. Eight high school boys' and girls' cross country teams gathered to compete against each other.

Jocelyn Bowman Thornton, the niece of Cap and Billie Peterson, has written a captivating story about the couple's life in her book, At the End of the Caribou. The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources will hold an open house to collect public comments and share information on the existing experimental walleye regulations for Saganaga, Seagull, and Gull Lakes in Cook County, Minnesota. The experimental walleye regulations set in 2015 aimed to protect smaller walleye to help increase the walleye populations in these lakes.
