Steinbach and Nelson retire from I.S.D. 166

Scott Steinbach, a fourth-grade teacher at ISD 166, is bidding farewell to his role after an admirable 32 years of service. Julie Nelson, a dedicated lead paraprofessional, is also announcing her retirement after a long and impactful career.

Purple Heart Day

Purple Heart Day Purple Heart Day is observed on August 7 each year and is a time for Americans to remember and honor the brave men and women who were either wounded on the battlefield or paid the ultimate sacrifice with their lives. The Purple Heart is America’s oldest active military award.

After Request from Governor Walz, Federal Disaster Declaration Expanded to Include Individual Assistance for Minnesotans Impacted by Flooding

Governor Tim Walz announced that Minnesotans in 19 counties working to recover from this year's flooding can now request individual assistance from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to help recover from losses they suffered. The declaration will provide resources to reimburse individuals and communities for debris removal, emergency protective measures, and repair and replacement of damaged infrastructure.
