Minnesota State Veterans Homes Recognized for Excellence

The “Stars and Stripes Mentor Program” and the “Memories of Mom” initiative improve care for Veterans and Residents we serve. Both were recognized as the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs (MDVA) Healthcare Division received two “Excellence in Practice” awards at the LeadingAge Minnesota annual conference on Feb.

Wildlife Matters

It is quite common for the male of a species to be larger and heavier than the female. This also holds true for the entire deer family. Part of my examinations of deer, bear and moose carcasses involved recording both whole and field dressed weights of many of them. Vehicle impact, or other factors, sometimes prevented being able to obtain weights, especially whole weights.
