University of Minnesota Extension is offering a series of maple syruping workshops across the state this winter. The workshop in Cook County will take place on Monday February 19th from 12:30-3:30 p.m.

Snowmobilers will hit the trails on February 10, 2024 for the Grand Portage Lodge and Casino Snowarama for Easter Seals Kids. Once again, the Thunder Bay Snowarama for Easter Seals Kids will head south of the border to Grand Portage, only 45 minutes from Thunder Bay, attracting snowmobilers from across northwestern Ontario and Minnesota to enjoy some of the finest groomed trails in northern Minnesota.

Six Northeast Minnesota projects receive CERTs Seed Grants for community-based clean energy efforts
Minnesota's Clean Energy Resource Teams (CERTs) is awarding seed grants to 45 energy efficiency and renewable energy projects—including six within the northeast region of Minnesota. The projects range from educational outreach on clean energy incentives, energy efficiency for manufactured homes, and skill-building for clean energy careers.
