Why was Bruce Dahlman fired?

I was shocked and deeply saddened to learn last week of the firing of Dr. Bruce Dahlman. I served Cook County as a physician from 1975 to 1988 and worked with Dr. Dahlman. When he was a medical student in 1978-79 Bruce came to what was then Cook County Community Clinic to learn the art of medicine. From 1984 to 1988 we worked together as partners, staffing the clinic, emergency department, in-patient ward, and nursing home. Now, we continue as colleagues, both of us teaching a curriculum which updates the knowledge and sharpens the skills of teams of rural emergency care providers-Bruce in Minnesota and Kenya; me in Montana. I have only the highest respect for Dr. Dahlman’s knowledge, skill, professionalism, and leadership qualities, which have been proven in myriad ways during his almost four decades of services.

Thursday, November 16, was a day to try a variety of delicious soups made by most of the restaurants and caterers in the area. The eateries donated the soup to the Empty Bowls Cook County organization that held a lunch and supper fundraiser at Up Yonder.

Giving thanks for home I went away for a while, and then I wasn't home for a while, and then when I got back it was earlier than I thought. I had prepped for the upcoming season and hadn't thought about having a current season.

BEYOND REASON

Running with The Gingerbread Man Deep in the woods, constantly scanning the terrain, ROB PEREZ runs a trail - over dirt, rocks, leaves, puddles, and roots. After a moment, THE GINGERBREAD MAN, brown, about six inches tall, with raisins for eyes, a cherry nose, and icing for a mouth, effortlessly runs alongside Rob, silent, unnoticed.

Beaver: Interactions with Humans

The beaver were quite active of course. They often walked through the house taking kindling from the fireplace and wedging it between table and chair legs. Other times they would drag her oriental rugs across the floor towards their indoor pool. When she stepped on the rugs, they would drop them, wriggle excitedly, and make 'chuckling' noises, which she interpreted as having a sense of humor. One night, she woke up with a beaver on her chest. It then ran under the bed and began pushing the mattress up and down so rapidly with its feet that she was unable to sleep the rest of the night.
