On Friday and Saturday, Oct. 20 21, at the Cook County Community Center, several dozen people, many of whom work for the county, clergy, schools, and law enforcement, participated in a two-day experiential, interactive training session to learn about creating and facilitating healing circles. The class was taught by Dr. Emily Gaarder, the Director of the Center for Restorative Justice and Peacemaking at the University of Minnesota Duluth.

The ball was snapped to Spry, who threw a long pass to a wide-open freshman wideout Macoy Fairbanks, who ran in untouched for a 57-yard score. The twopoint try failed, and the Vikings led 6-0.

North Shore Strom cross country coach April Wahlstrom understated a wee bit when she noted that the 'Proctor meet went well.' The North Shore Storm (NSS) boys and girls varsity placed first and second in the Class A division, with the JV boys and girls finishing second, the junior high boys winning, and the junior high girls placing third. All in all, a great cross country meet! Varsity girls 5K Moose Lake/Willow River/Barnum won the girl's varsity team title with 139 points.
The Cook County Viking football team traveled to Cook, Minnesota, on Wednesday, October 18, and stopped the North Woods Grizzlies 50-0. With the win, the Vikings upped their record to 4-4.
