A recent letter to the editor, We Have No Cents, stated “...what should be obvious to everyone: The United States does not have any money. Zero, nothing, nada.” Really?

The Hovland Hum

One of my neighbors occasionally hears vibration within and surrounding her home. Neighbors in Hovland reported to local media a hum sound which comes and goes.

Hub fundraiser May 10

2025 CCHS Prom King and Queen are…

Tucker Berglund and Grace Bloomberg were named Cook County High School Prom King and Queen at the coronation ceremony, a significant event in the school’s calendar, held on Saturday, May 3 at the high school. Prom followed a little later at North Point teen center. The kids were issued a permit from the City of Grand Marais to close off 1st Street and set up a tent just outside of the teen center.

Historical Reflections
