Nominate a Businesses who is embracing Age-Friendly Practices

For the 4th consecutive year, the Arrowhead Area Agency on Aging (AAAA) is awarding Aging Impact Awards to honor businesses that excel in providing exceptional services or accommodations to enhance accessibility and experiences for people of all ages. This can be as simple as making accessibility improvements like as clear signage or keeping sidewalks shoved. Or training staff to engage respectfully with all customers—inclusive of those with hearing, vision, mobility, sensory, or other needs. Creating an Age-Friendly workplace by offering flexible schedules, ergonomic workspaces, and valuing older workers' experience is another way employers can adopt Age-Friendly best practices.

Conservation Officer Tales

Although the Cook County News-Herald knows that the majority of sportsmen and women are law-abiding folks, there are a few that run afoul of the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Conservation Officers.
