Second Harvest Northland typically holds their Arrowhead Economic Opportunity Agency (AEOA) food distribution in Grand Portage and the Cook County Community Center in Grand Marais on the fourth Wednesday of every month. Many people attend and receive nutritious food from these events.

'The North Shore Health Care Foundation (NSHCF) was established in 1993 by a group of dedicated residents committed to improving the health and wellness of the Cook County community.
