Viking volleyball team gets ready for a busy season

This fall, the Viking volleyball team is set for a fresh start under the guidance of Susan Prom, our new Head Coach, and Colette Mueller, who steps up as the Junior Varsity Head Coach. With their innovative approach and dedication, along with the assistance of a dedicated group of volunteer coaches with extensive club and college level backgrounds helping regularly we’re excited to see what this season holds.

Pet of the Week

Do you like Candy? Of course you do. Candy is a loveable, playful, friendly, spicy gal of 11-12 weeks old. She was found in a wet ditch by a parking lot being bombarded by red wing blackbirds. Her foster family is really enjoying this little gal! She is up to date on her vaccinations, microchipped and wormed. She is NOT spayed yet but the adopter will get a $100 spay voucher to use at their vet and the adoption will be official after that. Adoption fee is $175 plus tax. 2025 Water Legacy Presentation

Arrowhead Indivisible is excited to welcome Paula Maccabee, Executive Director & Counsel at WaterLegacy, to a community conversation on Tuesday, September 2, 2025. Work on the Spruce Creek Bridge Replacement is going well

Northland Constructors poured the deck for the Spruce Creek Bridge on Friday the 15th. The deck pour was completed the same day and it went very well. The next steps in the construction and completion of this project are back filling the abutments for the new bridge structure, some minor road work and the installation of the timber railings.

Grand Marais Door-to-Door Water Pipe Inspections

The City of Grand Marais is working with an engineering company to complete a water service line inventory that involves inspections at homes and businesses in town. Staff from AE2S will begin knocking on doors in Grand Marais the week of August 25 and will continue through the end of September.
