At the Grand Marais Park Board's August meeting, Rec Park Manager Dave Tersteeg told the park board that last month's 'good weather also improved the bottom line with strong revenue, up one percent from July 2023. Year-to-date revenue was erroneously reported last month, trending up eight percent as of the end of June. A Hound of Heaven?

Grand Marais is a dog-friendly place. Corky, The Wonder Beagle (mix), goes with me wherever he is welcome. He enjoys going to the bank, the convenience store, church meetings, the Rec Park, and most everywhere else where food is not served inside. Many places have dog treats waiting for Corky (and others) to come in. He remembers.
