The Cook County Coalition of Lake Associations (CCCoLA), representing 19 Lake and Road Associations in Cook County is celebrating 30 years of citizens working together to protect and preserve the waters and shorelands of Cook County. This summer, CCCoLA will be offering several opportunities for community members to learn more about what they can do to protect and preserve waters, shorelands, forests, and property. CCCoLA members are focusing their efforts in 3 main areas: Sub-Surface Sewage Treatment Systems (SSTS), Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) mitigation, and Lead tackle abatement. These are important factors that impact water quality and that we can all act upon. All are welcome to participate in the workshops and join us at our CCCoLA in-person summer meetings.

Calls came into the Cook County Law Enforcement Center that on May 22, a man had posted a film on Facebook Live that he was threatening to kill a local librarian. The calls to Dispatch came on May 23 at 10:54:08.
