Sweet, cute, and mischievous, these fox kits are ready for action as long as their mama is nearby and feeding them. The male fox will bring his mate food the first few weeks after the babies are born, but after that, the mama will feed her kits on her own.

BRIAN LARSEN Following the 24 minute long ISD 166 school board meeting held Thursday, April 25, the board opened a work session with Todd Rapp of Rapp Strategies, Inc. to discuss holding a referendum this fall to ask voters to pay for improvements to the school building and grounds.
Barbara Jean (Hart) Hatanpaa Barbara Jean (Hart) Hatanpaa, 83, passed from this life on March 6th, 2023, at The Waterview Shores in Two Harbors, Minnesota. Robert Donovan Brazell, aka Bobby Don died on April 17, 2024.
The community is invited to the memorial service for Roger A. MacDonald, M.D. on Saturday, May 18 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Grand Marais, Minnesota. Roger was a family physician from 1948 to 1980s including 22 years in Cook County. When he retired from clinical practice, he moved to White Bear Lake and became associate director of Rural Physicians Associate Program, (RPAP) until the 1990’s. He returned to Grand Marais after retiring from teaching and embarked on a new career of writing. He chronicled three memoirs called the “Country Doc” stories which became published works.
Kaare Olav Faber (87) passed away peacefully on March 23, 2024 after a 9 month illness that confined him to St. Therese care facility in New Hope, MN. Kaare was a long time resident of Minnetonka, MN. He was born on January 13, 1937 in Oslo, Norway. His passion for learning led him to attend university at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio beginning in 1957. Upon graduation he moved to Minneapolis where he began his career as a Mechanical Engineer. He rose over the years to the position of Partner and director of Mechanical Engineering at Setter, Leach & Lindstrom, later, Leo A. Daly.
Vernon E. Eide, of Republic, MO, went home to be with his Lord, surrounded by his loving family and precious dog Bailey, on January 31, 2024. Vernon was 85 years old. He was born on January 17, 1939, to John and Evelyn (Johnson) Eide in Schroeder, Minnesota and was one of seven children in the home.
