The Vikings’ performance in the Twin Ports Summer League was nothing short of impressive. They emerged with the best conference record in the small school division, boasting an 8-4 record. What’s more, all four losses had a cumulative total of 13 points, indicating the team’s resilience and competitiveness. Key wins included a 20-point victory over Cromwell-Wright and a 15-point win against Mc-Gregor. The Vikings’ scoring leaders in the 12 games were MaCoy Fairbanks (Jr), Nick Spry (Sr), Parker Backstrom (Sr), Grant Oberg (Jr), and Sidney Litterst (Jr). This year’s ‘Aurora Florealis’ theme for the West Flower Show was a breathtaking sight for the arrangements, and a diverse range of beautiful arrangements were created, each one a unique masterpiece.
The Grand Marais Garden Club celebrated its 91st year with a lovely Flower Show in the Community Center on Sat., July 26th. Members used their creativity to display arrangements with the theme “Tooling Around the Garden”.
Luther College recently released the names of students who graduated on May 25, 2025. Among them was Stirling Pollock of Grand Marais who graduated with a degree in visual communication.
