On November 1, 2023, Dr. Bruce Dahlman was told by Wapitit Medical Staffing, Health Care Agency, that he would no longer be employed. Located in Milbank, South Dakota, Wapiti hires emergency room doctors to serve at North Shore Health and other rural hospitals in the upper Midwest.

Five students were inducted as new members of the National Honor Society: Kyla Knapper, Jordan Backstrom, Grace Blomberg, Knut Remmem, and Lexi Surbaugh.

Melissa Oberg was named a 2023 Educators of Excellence & Innovation Program Award winner
ISD 166 special education teacher Melissa Oberg received a well-deserved honor last week when she was one of four teachers to receive an Educator of Excellence Award at the Minnesota Rural Education Association (MEA's) awards Banquet on Sunday, November 12, at Cragun's Resort in Brainerd.
