



Duclos and Dimitrova named All-Conference
Two varsity members of the 2023 Cook County ISD 166 volleyball team were cited for their excellent play this season. Kalina Dimitrova and Allie Duclos were recognized at the end-of-theseason volleyball dinner for receiving All-Conference recognition letters.

Second Harvest receives news of $15,000 give to the Max Match
Support from Catholic Charities Bureau, Diocese of Superior, has leveraged 180,000 meals since 2021. Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank received news that for the third year in a row, Catholic Charities Bureau, Diocese of Superior, will be matching all gifts received as part of their Give to the Max campaign, up to $15,000.

Conservation Officer Tales
Although the Cook County News-Herald knows that the majority of sportsmen and women are law-abiding folks, there are a few that run afoul of the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Conservation Officers. Periodically, the DNR provides a report of some of the miscreants the Conservation Officers (CO) have encountered. The News-Herald shares these stories as a reminder to all to be safe and to follow the rules!
