Grand Portage National Monument will implement Summer hours starting May 24, 2025. The Heritage Center will be open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and the Historic Depot will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

From a pool of 25 diverse applicants, ten have been chosen for interviews for the Cook County Administrator position. The application process concluded on May 7, and interviews are set to take place in early June, with the field narrowed to several finalists.
